Becoming Unstoppable: Listening to Black Women & Girls

The results of the recent report Listening to Black Women and Girls: Lived Experiences of Adultification Biasare shocking to say the least. In it, researchers found that Black girls—as young as 5—aren’t viewed as innocent as white girls. Dr. Jamilia Blake is an Associate Professor of Educational Psychology at Texas A & M University and a Senior Scholar at the Georgetown Law Center on Poverty and Inequality’s Initiative on Gender Justice and Opportunity. She co-authored the report.
